Safety first from start to finish. Evidence of this is our rate of safety incidents, which is well below the industry average. Calex Engineering has zero tolerance for lost time accidents and near-miss incidents. We are creating and sustaining a culture that promotes an incident-free environment and provides the safest workplace to live injury-free daily. To ensure Calex Employees are safe, we here at Calex assign experienced, dedicated safety managers to train, educate, and oversee our team. We provide ongoing training in safety procedures and up-to-date regulations. We ensure that every employee follows stringent safety practices.

GOLDEN GATE PARTNERSHIP RECOGNITION
Calex Engineering is proud to announce its “Golden Gate Partnership Recognition” from Cal/OSHA. Our commitment to safety propelled us to partner up with Turner Construction in submitting for the Volunteer Partnership Program at One Beverly. This special program calls on contractors to be the stewards of safety by collaborating with the Consultation Service Branch of Cal/OSHA. Together we review and validate our company’s Injury Illness Prevention Program and its presence onsite at One Beverly.
The process allowed for us to open our I.I.P.P. to a representative of Cal/OSHA. We work directly with the offices to present our safety programs, training schedules, record keeping and field operations. Together we review in detail all necessary components of an IIPP. Once vetted, we meet directly with Cal OSHA to dive into the details of our scope of work and thoroughly analyze the hazards. With a thorough understanding of operations, we ensure all necessary components of minimizing and mitigating hazards are deployed.
Finally, a team of Inspectors are invited onsite. Together, we walk the jobsite focusing on Calex’s scope of work and team members. This final step ensures that we “plan our work, and work our plan.” The onsite visit allows for Cal/OSHA to ensure we’ve deployed our safety programs and be able to validate it being exercised in real time. Leading to this award and our great pride in having Cal/OSHA endorse our culture of safety on the jobsite.
